CUSTOMER FAQ'S • How can I figure out the total cost of renting a motorhome? Choose your preferred rental station and calculate the daily rate times the days you wish to rent the motorhome. Add all applicable charges, e.g. convenience kits etc. If you experience difficulties, please contact us and we provide you with an accurate quotation. • Is there a minimum amount of time that we have to rent? Our minimum rental is 1 week. • How do I get to the rental location? Most rental stations offer complimentary pick up from the airport/-hotels or downtown. Only a few stations do not offer transfers but can easily be reached by public transports or by taxi. • How long will a pick-up process take? From the time you arrive until you leave our station, it may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Please count on approximately 1/2 hour for the paper work. The personalized vehicle instruction may take anywhere between 1/2 to 1 hour. Allocating this amount of time ensures that all your questions can be clearly answered, and that you are fully aware of how to operate your vehicle before you leave on your trip. • Do I need a special drivers license to drive a motorhome? Generally your driver license is enough. You do not need any special drivers license to drive a motorhome. • Are motorhomes difficult to drive or slow to accelerate? Modern motorhomes handle very much like a car and have enough power that they accelerate as quickly as many cars. • Are motorhomes complicated to hook up to campsite facilities? Connecting the motorhome to campsite facilities requires no technical expertise. You will receive instruction on these connections at the time of pick up. • What type of gas mileage can I expect from the motorhome? While gas mileage varies greatly depending on travel conditions, the following is an approximate guide: 17 ft 10-15 miles/gallon: 15-23 litre/100 km 19 ft 9-14 miles/gallon: 17-24 litre/100 km 22 ft 8-11 miles/gallon: 18-28 litre/100 km 25 ft 7-10 miles/gallon: 23-33 litre/100 km 27 ft 7-10 miles/gallon: 23-33 litre/100 km • What kind of power supply does a motorhome have? The refrigerator, heater, water heater, stove and range operate on propane gas. The dash air conditioner is powered by the engine while driving and other items by an outside 230V power supply. • What facilities will I find at campgrounds? Campground facilities vary greatly dependant on many factors, however a partial list of facilities commonly found at many campgrounds would include: electric and water, washing machines and dryers, swimming pools, recreation rooms, playgrounds, and on-site convenience stores. • How much does it cost to stay in campgrounds? Campground rates vary based on time of year and what facilities they offer. Generally you can expect to pay between $10 and $40 per night. • Can I tow a car or boat with the RV? Towing is generally not allowed with our RVs. |
